Dr. Scruggs received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Virginia Union University, a Master of Science Degree in Reading from Brooklyn College, Administration Supervision graduate studies at

Lamar P. Higgins:  Honored by Troy University

Historiographer, 10th Episcopal District Lay Organization
Lamar P. Higgins is the ninth child born to the late Joe and Jessie Higgins. A native of Marbury, Lamar was educated in the public school system and received his B.S. degree from Troy University. As a student at TROY, he became the first 
 African American to serve as SGA Vice President and the first African American elected as SGA President.  He also holds the distinction of being the first person to be elected to a

CLO EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING
APRIL 7 - 9, 2022   NEW ORLEANS, LA

TENTH DISTRICT LAY HOLDS FIRST HYBRID MEETING 

The Tenth Episcopal District Lay Organization held its first Hybrid meeting during the 2022 Spring Convocation at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Dallas, TX combined with Zoom participants throughout the state.  It was a first for the Lay Organization and a first for St. Paul.  We were not without difficulties and challenges, however, we moved forward with the technology of this post-Covid world and the new normal.  Greetings were given by the host pastor, The Reverend Kevin Hodge, the Local President, Mr. William Earl and President Dr. Rodrick moved us through the agenda items presented.  A few of the snapshots are below.
